Course Description: Lean and an ISO-based Quality Management System are complementary forces that can be integrated into a Business Management System capable of sustaining all improvement efforts. A Business Management System will only be effective if true, deep cultural changes are developed and deployed. The positive results of deploying improvement tools will survive only briefly without first changing the culture of the company. Lean tools and lean cultural elements provide the “how to” of excellent business practices. An ISO 9001 based Quality Management System forms the “what” and ties in all of the elements of good business practices into one cohesive whole.
